New details have emerged about the tragic incident in Ksamil, where 20-year-old Frenchman Miguel Mendes lost his life. The young man was found lifeless at around 5:15 a.m. on sun loungers at a beach near a venue.

Police have identified 29-year-old Sokrat Vata, a resident of Has, as the suspected perpetrator. He fled the scene and remains wanted.
According to information sources, an examination of the body at the morgue in Sarandë found that the 20-year-old had sustained several stab wounds to the back and chest. Due to the injuries, his death is suspected to have been immediate.
Miguel Mendes is said to have come to Ksamil with a group of French tourists to spend their holiday in southern Albania.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Sokrat Vata, identified by police as the suspected perpetrator, was employed as a beach attendant at the “Pronciopotes” hotel.
He left immediately after the incident, and police are continuing their searches to locate and arrest him.
