Netanyahu Ready for Meeting with Trump, Massive Operations Against Iran Under Consideration

The White House and the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are exploring the possibility of a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Netanyahu in the Oval Office next week.

However, as reported by Axios, a White House official and an Israeli source emphasize that no final decision has been made on the matter.

The American media reports that President Trump is weighing the possibility of resuming large-scale military operations against Iran, which could include coordinated actions with Israel, in a scenario reminiscent of Operation Epic Fury, launched on February 28.

Sources stress that a meeting between the two leaders could be decisive for the next steps of the U.S. administration, as well as for coordinating actions between Washington and Jerusalem.

Since Trump returned to the presidency about a year and a half ago, Netanyahu has made six visits to the Oval Office, a higher number than any other foreign leader. However, the Israeli prime minister is facing growing criticism in Washington, both from Democrats and from some of Trump’s allies and MAGA supporters.

According to the report, Netanyahu had requested a meeting with Trump last week, but the request was not accepted. He then postponed his visit to Washington. He is now expected to travel to the U.S. capital to attend the funeral ceremonies of Senator Lindsey Graham, which will take place on Tuesday at the Capitol and the National Cathedral.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Israeli Embassy in Washington have not commented on these reports.

According to Axios, the U.S. administration is facing two main scenarios regarding the conflict with Iran. The first consists of accepting a new ceasefire proposal, mediated by Qatar, while the second involves launching a joint military operation with Israel to increase pressure on Tehran.
