Netanyahu rules out the possibility of an agreement with Iran: There is no peace with these savage people

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he does not believe a solution with Iran can be reached through diplomacy.

During an event in Jerusalem, Netanyahu used harsh language toward Iran’s leaders, ruling out the possibility of an agreement. He said that the issue of diplomacy had also been discussed during his most recent meeting with President Donald Trump.

“I told Trump: Of course, there is a possibility of reaching an agreement, a good agreement. We have no objection. However, I doubt that an agreement can be reached with that group over there, with those savages. I am telling you: an agreement cannot be reached,” Netanyahu said.

He expressed support for President Donald Trump’s new economic pressure campaign, emphasizing that the measures should target not only Tehran but also the parties providing assistance to the Iranian regime.

Netanyahu has long been known as an opponent of diplomatic efforts with Iran and of the 2015 nuclear agreement. In his view, Trump’s economic pressure represents a “third option,” in addition to diplomacy and war.

On Monday, the American president announced the launch of a new economic offensive against Iran. Although he was part of the joint U.S.-Israeli attack in February, Trump accepted the ceasefire in April and continues to avoid a return to full-scale war.
