Italian Major General Roberto Vergori, who is expected to take command of KFOR, met today with the chairman of the NATO Military Committee.

In a post on the X platform, the committee’s chairman, Giuseppe Dragone, said that Vergori has demonstrated determination and strong leadership skills in all the duties he has performed during his service in the Italian military.
“KFOR is an important pillar of the Alliance and operates in cooperation with many of our partners.”
“Operating under the mandate of the United Nations Security Council, it is a peace enforcement operation that today helps ensure a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo,” Dragone stated.
