Morina Sees Heavy Traffic, More Than 52,000 Kosovo Citizens Enter Albania Within 24 Hours

Even during the last weekend of August, the Morina border crossing continues to deal with a large number of travelers.

Many vacationers are taking advantage of the favorable temperatures to spend the remaining days of summer on the Albanian coast, although for some of them this is their next visit during the season.

Over the past 24 hours, 52,864 citizens and 13,531 vehicles have entered Albanian territory. At the same time, 35,072 citizens, along with 11,238 vehicles, have left the country.

The numbers remain high when the five-day period is considered as well. From August 24 to 28, 152,694 citizens and 46,870 vehicles entered through Morina, while 121,846 citizens and 37,148 vehicles were recorded leaving the country.

Morina continues to be one of the main crossing points between Kosovo and Albania. Authorities are continuing measures to manage the flow, with the aim of avoiding queues and speeding up travelers’ movement.
