After the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela overnight, an online platform set up to track missing persons reports that more than 10,000 individuals are still missing.
The names of those reported missing have been spread online, including by representatives of the Venezuelan opposition, who are publishing updates on the humanitarian situation.

This figure comes as search-and-rescue teams continue working in the hardest-hit areas, where many buildings have collapsed and many residents are believed to be trapped under the rubble.
Earlier, Venezuelan authorities said the death toll had exceeded 160 people, while hundreds of others have been injured. The toll is expected to rise as the searches are completed.
