Rescue teams are continuing their search for Ilir Kolaveri, a miner believed to have been involved in an accident while working at the chromium mine in Tërnovë.

The accident occurred on Saturday. The 40-year-old is believed to have fallen into an ore chute inside the gallery before being buried beneath a large mass of ore.
After being notified, rescue teams immediately arrived at the site and have been working since midday Saturday to locate the miner and extract him.
The operation is taking place under difficult conditions due to the mine’s structure and the risk of further collapses.
The chromium mine in Tërnovë is managed by the company “Eternal Security.” Meanwhile, the authorities have launched an investigation to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident and determine its causes.
