North Macedonia’s Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, supports raising the minimum wage and wages in general, but says he will not vote in favor of the SDSM bill proposing a minimum wage of €600.

In comments to “Lokalno,” Mickoski described the initiative as a proposal from an opposition party that, according to him, has destroyed and plundered Macedonia.
“This is an opposition without public or political credibility, which has sunk into its own political swamp. I believe it will remain on the margins of the political scene for a long time,” Mickoski said.
The prime minister stressed that the government should not intervene directly in the process of raising wages, as such decisions should result from social dialogue between workers and employers.
“I support raising the minimum wage and higher wages, but this process must take place through social dialogue between workers and employers,” Mickoski declared./Telegrafi/
