The opposition SDSM accuses Hristijan Mickoski of publishing optimistic data every day about a 72% increase in wages and a 325% increase in pensions, while reality shows a decline of 1,163 denars in the average net wage.

According to data from the State Statistical Office, the average wage fell by 1,163 denars, or 2.3 percent, in just one month.
“No statistics are needed to understand the decline in living standards, because citizens experience it every day in their homes, through empty refrigerators and wallets. The average monthly wage has fallen by 1,163 denars, while the minimum wage of 26,000 denars does not cover even a third of the consumer basket, which has risen to 70,000 denars. High prices are reducing family budgets every day,” SDSM said.
The opposition party describes this situation as the true reflection of the “third economy in Europe” promoted by Mickoski. “No family can pay its bills with Mickoski’s cheerful mathematics. Lower wages, a more expensive life, empty pockets and empty refrigerators. But let’s talk about the good things—a new plane is coming for Mickoski,” SDSM said.
