Mickoski said there was a lack of trust in the institutions and that the reported cases were being referred to the Prosecutor’s Office. The prime minister refused to provide further details, stressing that this was to avoid jeopardizing the investigations.

He also announced that a project in cooperation with Transparency International would begin soon, starting today. As part of the project, a number—an open hotline—will be made available for citizens to report cases of systemic corruption. According to him, these cases will be handled together with Transparency International.

“What is important to me is that there should be no cases of high-level corruption. Now we must resolve these cases through the institutions,” Mickoski said, reiterating that he would not provide any further answers until the cases were concluded.

The prime minister said that the authorities were also analyzing several other cases in various fields and sectors within the institutions. He urged all citizens who fall victim to systemic corruption to report it without exception, stressing that everyone responsible would be sanctioned.
