Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci said today that defense in cyberspace is an essential element of national security. He said that meeting the threats of our time requires advanced capabilities, professional expertise and close coordination among institutions.
During the inter-institutional exercise “Digital Siege 2026,” Maqedonci stressed that the Ministry of Defense has made expanding and developing the Kosovo Security Force’s capabilities in cybersecurity a priority.

“We will continue to invest in knowledge, technology and professionalism, and strengthen cooperation with local institutions and our strategic partners, to make the Republic of Kosovo safer and more resilient in the face of future challenges,” the minister wrote in a Facebook post.
“Digital Siege 2026” is the first exercise of its kind organized by the State Cybersecurity Training Center.
The Center’s operationalization within the Kosovo Security Force was made possible with support from the Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo.
