Several areas of Tirana have been temporarily left without water due to a serious fault in the main supply network.

Tirana Water and Sewerage Enterprise announced that the breakdown was identified in the DN 1100 mm steel pipeline, which carries water to the capital’s western reservoirs.
The problem has affected water supply in Selitë, Kodra e Diellit, Astir, Yzberisht, Pallatet Çabej, Kodër Kamëz and Fusha Misto Mame.
Water and Sewerage technical teams have been sent to the site and are working to repair the fault, with the aim of restoring the water supply.
The intervention is ongoing, while no exact timetable has yet been announced for the situation to return to normal.
