LSDM: The government’s failure to implement reforms is keeping Macedonia out of Brussels’ plans

LSDM today accused Mickoski of causing Macedonia to be excluded from Brussels’ plans because of the government’s failure to implement reforms.

According to the party, Brussels is drawing up action plans for states considered closer to membership, including Montenegro, Ukraine, Moldova and Albania. These plans set out a clear direction, deadlines and obligations, including for member states.

LSDM stresses that Macedonia, along with Serbia, Kosovo and Bosnia, has been left out as a country that has made no progress.

“We started first, but we are still waiting. We are waiting because the deceiver has not implemented the reforms. He was given a deadline, which he postponed for a year, while promising June 1. Since then, he has not said a word,” LSDM said.

The opposition party further accused the judiciary and the prosecution of being controlled by telephone, while saying that the police operates on a party basis. According to the party, the European Commission’s report is catastrophic.

“A roadmap is not given to a gang, but to an institution. Who does this serve? Only Vučić and Russia. They are interested in keeping Macedonia outside the Union. This is a concession to Vučić,” the statement said.

LSDM described the country as a safe haven for the OBRM-PDUKM organized crime group, led by Mickoski, as well as a space for money obtained through crime and corruption.

“A buffer zone near the EU is what Moscow needs, even though we are members of NATO and even though more than 80 percent of people support NATO,” the statement continued.

According to LSDM, EU membership would provide important support for the country through a common policy and position toward Russia. They say Mickoski is obstructing this very process, describing him as a player represented by Russia.

The party added that political satellites play the same role. “The Left is a Russian, anti-NATO, anti-EU and anti-American party. All three forces have united with the aim of stopping the country,” LSDM accused.

Meanwhile, regarding the United States, which the government calls a “strategic partner,” LSDM said there are only photographs in the corridors and no accomplishments.

“Chinese money, Orban’s loans and the promotion of China and its projects through Stoilković and other BIA players,” were further listed among LSDM’s accusations.

The party concluded by saying that the country’s isolation did not happen by chance, but was the result of the government cabinet’s work./Telegrafi/
