LSDM: How can anyone talk about success in reforms when Montenegro gets 3.2 billion euros and Macedonia only 67 million euros?

LSDM has leveled accusations at Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska, saying that the reform process linked to the EU has stalled.

According to the party, the finance minister is talking about a redistribution of European funds to what she describes as the “leaders of reforms.”

LSDM asks what reforms exactly are being referred to.

Are these the reforms that Mickoski had announced would be completed by June 1, and which now, according to them, no one talks about anymore?

They also ask whether this refers to the reforms for which a one-year grace period was obtained in 2025, but which were not implemented. According to LSDM, it remains unclear what is happening with the deadlines and what has been done with the reform agenda.

LSDM believes that Macedonia risks being left out of the EU’s seven-year plan precisely because of the failure to implement reforms. At the same time, as they emphasize, the minister is talking about the “largest funds” and presenting Macedonia as one of the leading countries in reforms.

For comparison, LSDM points out that Montenegro will receive 3.2 billion euros, while Macedonia will benefit from 65.7 million euros from the EU Growth Plan.

According to them, this cannot be presented as “the most.”

LSDM also recalled a statement by the minister, who several months ago had said that “half of Europe will go bankrupt” and that Macedonia would flourish.

The same minister, they add, has claimed that the country is the “third economy in Europe,” while, according to them, there are not even funds for an increase in the minimum wage.

“It seems that Mickoski has passed his own lies on to his ministers. Or perhaps they too have started to believe them,” the LSDM reaction says.
