The Liberal Democratic Party in North Macedonia has reacted to the announced increase in fuel prices, criticizing the government for failing to take sufficient measures to protect the living standards of citizens and local businesses.
According to the LDP, the price increase linked to the war in the Middle East is further reducing the population’s purchasing power. The party is calling for its proposal to reimburse VAT on fuel to be considered urgently. The measure, it says, should apply only to citizens and domestic companies, not transit carriers or neighboring countries.

The LDP called on the government to take concrete action to ease the impact of rising prices. It also recommended that citizens fill up with fuel tonight, before the increase announced for tomorrow.
“People must not be allowed to become victims of official incompetence,” the LDP declared. /Telegrafi/
