Members of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) did not participate in the first vote on the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on Specialist Chambers.

During the session of the Kosovo Assembly, the initiative received 91 votes in favor and passed its first reading.
Before the vote was held, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu, head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, announced that the party’s MPs would not support the draft law.
She said that the LDK could not be part of this initiative, while also expressing doubts about the legal effect the proposed changes could have.
Although the LDK MPs did not participate in the vote, the draft law secured the support of the MPs present and was approved in its first reading with 91 votes in favor.
