Labinot Mirena, an LDK assembly member in the Municipal Assembly of Obiliq, has announced his irrevocable resignation from all party structures.

His decision came after the LDK parliamentary group opposed voting on the bill aimed at amending the law on the Special Court.
Mirena said he disagreed with the party’s position, considering it a significant disagreement on both principle and a personal level.
“This decision expresses my deep disagreement with the LDK’s stance toward the KLA leaders being tried in The Hague. For me, this is not merely a political or party matter, but a matter of principles and personal convictions, on which I cannot compromise,” Mirena wrote.
He announced that he would continue his mandate in the Municipal Assembly of Obiliq as an independent assembly member.
According to Mirena, the LDK’s position on this issue does not align with the values and convictions he stands for.
