At the Assembly of Kosovo, the meeting with Hamza is scheduled to begin at 09:00, while the one with Abdixhiku will be held at 18:00.

These meetings follow letters sent by Kurti to the leaders of the PDK, LDK and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, through which he requested a meeting. The sending of the invitations was confirmed by government spokesperson Fatlum Jashari and took place one day after the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections were certified.

Bedri Hamza has announced that the PDK has responded positively to this invitation and is ready to take part in the meeting. According to him, the talks should initially focus on the governing program, priorities and the challenges facing the country, rather than on the distribution of posts.

Lumir Abdixhiku has also confirmed his participation, saying that he will attend the meeting in good faith, to hear the proposals of the Vetëvendosje Movement and to help avoid new elections. He also said that he will meet with representatives of the PDK and AAK as well, in order to learn their positions.

On the other hand, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has rejected the invitation to a meeting. Its chairman, Ardian Gjini, published the official letter addressed to Kurti, which states that the Alliance does not consider such a meeting necessary and remains in the position announced on June 26. According to that position, support for the creation of institutions is conditional on acceptance of the six points of the offer presented earlier.

Based on the certified results of the June 7 elections, the Vetëvendosje Movement received 47.13 percent of the vote and 53 seats in the Assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo won 19.44 percent and 22 MPs, the Democratic League of Kosovo 16.69 percent and 18 seats, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo received 6.74 percent and seven MPs. Non-majority communities secured a total of 20 seats in the Assembly.
