Kurti said that the country has made significant progress in democracy, the rule of law, security and the economy, KosovaPress reported.
The prime minister thanked Hofreiter for his visit and said he was ready to continue and deepen cooperation with the German Bundestag.
Kosovo officially submitted its application for membership on 15 December 2022, during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU. So far, the Council of the EU has not even completed the first procedural stage, which involves requesting an official opinion from the European Commission.
Kosovo is the only Western Balkan country that has not yet obtained candidate status.
