The administration of the General Jurisdiction Court in Kukes stopped work today in protest over the unresolved salary situation in the justice system.

The boycott will continue for the next two days among the court’s secretariat and administration. The only exceptions will be services related to urgent hearings, security measures and immediate protection orders.
The salary issue emerged following decisions by the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecutorial Council on setting the salaries of judges and prosecutors.
Parliament did not intervene to resolve the obligation to recalculate salaries, despite a decision by the Constitutional Court.
Through the boycott, the administration aims to draw attention to the salary issue and the situation that has developed in the justice system. The restriction of administrative services directly affects citizens.
