Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski confirmed that diplomat Krum Efremov will represent North Macedonia as ambassador to Bulgaria.

Efremov is a career diplomat and currently heads the Directorate for Economic Diplomacy within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He previously also served as North Macedonia’s ambassador to Ukraine.
According to Mucunski, preparations are under way for Efremov’s departure for Sofia. Meanwhile, the minister declined to comment on the candidate for the new ambassador to Athens, explaining that the procedure remains classified.
