The spread of the fire within Krujë Municipality has worsened the situation, prompting authorities to order the immediate evacuation of residents in the Barabit–Lluban area. The measure was taken pursuant to Law No. 45/2019 “On Civil Protection,” the National Plan and Local Civil Emergency Plans, due to the danger posed by the flames.

The evacuation is being carried out through cooperation between the National Civil Protection Agency, the Prefect of Durrës County and Krujë Municipality’s civil emergency services.
Vehicles and personnel from Krujë Municipality, the Fire and Rescue Service, the State Police and the Armed Forces have been deployed in the operation to move residents out of the danger zone. During the process, priority is being given to children, the elderly, people with disabilities and families in isolated areas.
Krujë Municipality announced that evacuated residents will be provided with temporary shelter, registration, basic necessities and medical assistance. Residents of Barabit–Lluban have been asked to follow the instructions of emergency personnel on the ground and cooperate with them to ensure safety. Meanwhile, explosions involving munitions have also been reported.
