Ministers Ermal Nufi and Besfort Lamallari have traveled to Krujë to closely monitor the situation caused by a fire that broke out in the Abazë area this afternoon.

According to Defense Minister Ermal Nufi, the blaze is suspected to have been caused by human activity. He said the firefighting operation is being conducted in a coordinated manner, with crews intervening on the ground and receiving aerial support.
Nufi said he was in the Abazë area together with Minister Besfort Lamallari, the director of the National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC), and the General Director of the Fire Service to monitor developments on the ground.
Local operational units have been working intensively since the afternoon, while three Air Force helicopters are intervening from the air.
The minister expressed his respect and gratitude to the Air Force pilots, as well as to the firefighting personnel from Krujë, Kamëz, Tirana, and Vorë, who are working without interruption to contain the blaze and protect homes at risk.
He explained that the rugged terrain is making ground operations difficult, which is why the operation is continuing simultaneously from the ground and air, with the aim of bringing the fire under control as quickly as possible.
