Vetëvendosje member Alban Krasniqi reacted after the protest held outside the Assembly, accusing the PDK of seeking to surround the institution in order to pressure MPs to vote for amendments to the law on the Specialist Chambers and to take the country to elections.

According to Krasniqi, the protest was planned and did not happen by chance. He said the situation could have ended with casualties, while the Kosovo Police confirmed that it had intervened to ensure order and security in the area surrounding the Assembly.
Krasniqi described the situation as a “trap” set by the PDK, claiming that for days the party had sought to create the impression that it was taking a constructive approach, while, in his view, its aim was to block the Assembly and force MPs to vote on the law and then go to elections, as in Hashim’s time.
He said the plan did not work because, according to him, the attempt to carry it out through fake veterans and paid individuals failed. Krasniqi added that the police intervention and the creation of a corridor for MPs prevented this objective from being achieved.
The Vetëvendosje member insisted that none of the actions that day had been accidental and said he believed the organizers had also calculated the possibility of casualties. In conclusion, he stated that both the plan and the PDK’s “trap” had failed.
