A Kosovo national, R.E. (24), was arrested on Tuesday evening after fleeing customs control at the Blace border crossing in his BMW with Kosovo licence plates.
The Ministry of Interior said that while the vehicle was undergoing customs inspection, R.E. started the car and pushed and dragged a customs official for several metres. He then fled in the direction of Skopje.

Following the intervention of the Intervention Police Unit, the BMW was stopped on “Adriatic Highway” Street, where the suspect was arrested.
“During a search of the area, a bag containing marijuana was found, while a pocket knife was found in the vehicle. R.E. also stated that during his escape he had thrown away a bag containing two pistols,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
The 24-year-old was taken to a police station, and once the incident has been fully clarified and documented, the appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against him.
