At today’s meeting, the Government of Kosovo approved the allocation of 200,000 euros for the purchase of a new generator for the High Security Prison.
According to acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the investment is intended to guarantee an uninterrupted electricity supply.

“Review of the request by the Ministry of Justice for the allocation of budget funds to finance the supply and installation of a generator at the High Security Prison. The Ministry of Finance is submitting the request for the allocation of 200,000 euros. The investment aims to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply and the stable operation of the infrastructure and security systems at this correctional institution,” Kurti said, KosovaPress reports.
On the other hand, acting Finance Minister Hekuran Murati announced that these funds will be secured from the Unforeseen Expenditures Program, specifically from the reserves.

“Funds in the amount of 200,000 euros are taken from the Unforeseen Expenditures Program, that is, from the reserve, and allocated to the Ministry of Justice within the capital project ‘emergency expenditures’,” Murati said.
