He described the sentences handed down today for Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi as sad, unjust, and undeserved.
“It is a truly sad, unjust, and undeserved decision for the four leaders of the KLA,” Konjufca stated immediately after the reading of the judgment in the special court.
The decision concluded a lengthy judicial process, in which the trial panel announced the sentences for each of the accused: Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi were sentenced to 25 years in prison, Kadri Veseli received 18 years, while Rexhep Selimi was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment.
