Glauk Konjufca, who serves as acting foreign minister, expressed his belief that the steps to establish the new Assembly do not conflict with the country’s highest law.

He pointed out that completing the constitution of the Assembly could take more than 24 hours, adding that constitutional law experts have differing interpretations regarding this time limit.
Konjufca went on to confirm that acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti will once again invite the three Albanian political forces—the PDK, LDK and the Alliance—to continue talks.
He stressed that their team will never give up its commitment to dialogue.
“Any consequence that you see as negative is much smaller compared with what we witnessed in the session, with the attack on the prime minister and our lawmakers. If that was wrong, then this is wrong too. Nevertheless, it is a lesser harm than putting the country before new elections, which would be much more serious. The Constitution is not being violated,” Konjufca concluded.
