Two people from Kočani, D.S., 42, and V.Z., 26, were detained on 27.08.2026 by officers from the Kočani Sector for Internal Affairs, North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry said. The detentions were carried out based on operational information that the two were suspected of committing several serious thefts in the area covered by the Kočani Sector for Internal Affairs.

Acting on a prior court order, police searched the homes of the two individuals. During the raids, items suspected of originating from a criminal offense stipulated under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of North Macedonia were found and seized.
North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry said that, after the case documentation is completed, the relevant criminal reports will be filed.
