The aim of these exercises was to improve physical endurance and the ability to move through mountainous terrain. The activity also sought to strengthen cooperation and unity among soldiers from different countries serving in RC-W.
According to KFOR, regularly conducting exercises in complex areas helps maintain professional standards, operational readiness and situational awareness. These capabilities enable personnel to respond effectively anywhere in Kosovo.
The KFOR mission continues to fulfill the tasks set out in United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, adopted in 1999, contributing to a safe environment and freedom of movement for all residents of Kosovo.
To carry out this mandate, KFOR operates impartially and cooperates closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), with each institution exercising its respective responsibilities.
