The Islamist group Kataib Hezbollah, known as the Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq, has declared that it will pay $10 million to anyone who kills US President Donald Trump or takes part in preparing an attack against him.
According to the group, the offer is presented as a response to the 2020 US airstrike in which Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi forces, were killed.

The statement explains that the reward is not limited to the person who might carry out an attack against Trump. It is also being offered to individuals, groups or organizations that would assist, organize or facilitate such an operation.
The so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq condemned what it described as “the aggression of the US government, represented by the criminal Trump,” holding him responsible for the killing of Soleimani and al-Muhandis.
“Their killer will not escape justice, and shame will follow him, as well as his government, for as long as they live,” the statement was quoted as saying.
The organization said the $10 million amount had been secured through contributions from its members and supporters. At the end of the statement, it stressed that “revenge remains a sacred promise,” reiterating threats against the US president.
