According to KFOR, their presence on the ground aims to help maintain a calm and secure environment, while strengthening the mission’s visibility and flexibility in various areas.
Through these activities, KFOR also seeks to improve its assessment of the security situation in different parts of Kosovo.
The mission emphasizes that such patrols are part of ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for all residents of Kosovo.
“The KFOR mission continues to implement its mandate, based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, contributing impartially to security and freedom of movement in Kosovo.
KFOR cooperates closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective roles as security response mechanisms,” the statement said.
