Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip killed at least six people, including a 9-year-old girl, Palestinian health officials said on Tuesday, as mediators held new talks to preserve a U.S.-brokered ceasefire.
Israeli fire on tents on the eastern side of the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza killed 9-year-old Tala Abu Matar, a medic said.

The Israeli military said it had no information regarding the incident. An airstrike on a metal foundry in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City also killed four people. Witnesses said the facility was hit by three Israeli rockets.
The Israeli military told Reuters it had struck “democratic” infrastructure, without providing further details.
The military also said it had killed at least two Hamas militants in northern Gaza since Thursday who were planning attacks on Israeli soldiers.
Later in the day, an Israeli strike on a tent camp in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza killed one person and wounded others, including children, medics said.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment.
The latest violence comes as Hamas leaders visit Cairo for further talks on implementing the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.
The talks include disarming Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, according to sources close to the negotiations, who added that no significant progress has been made yet.
