Iran has announced the suspension of all its obligations under the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States, citing previous breaches of the agreement by the American side. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Garibabadi said the decision was made because, according to Tehran, Washington had already violated and suspended all of its commitments. As he argued, Iran is no longer implementing the obligations it had undertaken under the agreement.
“We were in negotiations, but the Americans themselves took aggressive actions, violating their commitments,” the Iranian official said, adding that the country’s priority now is to defend itself against developments. Media outlets report that Iran launched missile and drone attacks against targets in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, striking facilities linked to US forces.
