Interior Ministry: Protecting citizens is the focus of preparations for the 35th anniversary of independence

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Macedonia announced that today, 07.09.2026, a joint press conference was held by the Ministry and the organizer of the central event marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of North Macedonia.

During the conference, the planned activities and measures to ensure the safe and smooth running of the event were presented. A large number of visitors are expected to attend.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the competent institutions, in cooperation with the organizer, are taking the necessary measures to ensure the safe conduct of the event. This is a large-scale event, with a large number of visitors, and therefore the safety of citizens, the uninterrupted running of the concert, and the protection of public order and peace are our priority.”

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the planned actions are aimed at prevention, a rapid response, and creating an environment where visitors can participate freely and safely. “In the interest of safety, we appeal to all visitors to follow the instructions of police officers, security personnel, and the organizer; to arrive on time; and not to bring items that are prohibited at such events,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
