A citizen attending the anti-government protest called on Albanians to join the demonstrations, warning that today’s political decisions could have serious consequences for everyone’s future.

Speaking about the sensitive debate over the new administrative-territorial reform, he said opposition to it should not remain solely the responsibility of residents of the municipalities at risk of being dissolved.
The protester addressed public administration employees in particular, urging them to put aside their fears and take action for their families’ future.
During his speech at the protest, the citizen said: “Success has an author, while failure here in Albania has been left an orphan. The reason this protest continues is tied to the question of who makes the decisions and to whom they are accountable!”
“People are protesting here today, and yesterday they protested in Poliçan, but you must bear in mind that after these municipalities are dissolved, and after everything that is happening to us, tomorrow it could be your property’s turn! Do not forget this—join the protest!”
“The major protests that have shaken the foundations erupted when those in power could no longer justify their own existence. Today, we are oppressed. Those of you who work in public administration must come out, because tomorrow and the day after, it will be you who suffer when it comes to your children’s future!”
