Hoti described the move as a sign of irresponsibility, questioning the motives behind Sejdiu’s departure from the court and his acceptance of the new role at the Presidency.
“There was no real reason to leave the Constitutional Court and become an adviser at the Office of the President. This is irresponsible and demonstrates political bias,” Hoti declared, suggesting the existence of a hidden political agenda.
He went on to say that he had serious doubts about whether Sejdiu could meet the requirements of such a state position. “I have my reservations about whether he can perform this high state office,” he said, stressing his lack of confidence in the former judge’s candidacy.
