He has asked MPs to sign the document by 11:00 tomorrow so that it can be sent to the president.
Hoti emphasized that this issue is not related to the parties, but to the CBK’s independence and respect for the Constitution.
“Due to the urgency of the matter, I have prepared a request for the president of the Republic of Kosovo asking that Mr. Bashkim Nurboja not be appointed by decree as a member of the CBK Board,” he wrote.
The MP said the request contains the constitutional and legal arguments presented in the letter addressed to the president, and that its purpose is to protect the independence and integrity of the Central Bank of Kosovo.
“I invite MPs to sign the request by 11:00 tomorrow so that it can be forwarded to the president. This is not a party matter. It is a matter of the CBK’s independence and respect for the Constitution,” Hoti declared.
