The Albanian Helsinki Committee (KShH) has formally addressed the director of IEVP “Jordan Misja”, Arjan Bozhaj, requesting information regarding the claims made publicly by Ilir Meta and Tedi Blushi about the treatment of the PL leader during his stay in pre-trial detention.

In the letter, it is emphasized that the organization has followed the claims raised by Meta and Blushi, through which accusations have been made regarding the non-respect of their rights and the manner of treatment at IEVP “Jordan Misja”.
KShH also refers to a monitoring process carried out in this institution, as well as previous recommendations addressed to responsible institutions.
According to the organization, from the monitoring and institutional correspondence, a positive impact on the practice followed by the institutions has been observed.
