The decision is intended to enable institutions to respond swiftly, in a coordinated manner and efficiently to developments on the ground. It also provides for the maximum deployment of all institutional capacities to protect citizens’ lives, their property and natural resources.

As part of the measures, the Main Headquarters at the Crisis Management Center will be activated and remain in permanent session. Within 24 hours, this body must prepare an action plan for preventing and tackling fires, identify the human and technical resources available, and draw up a plan to coordinate the activities of all responsible institutions.

The government has instructed all state administrative bodies to implement regulations related to crisis management. They must also make all their available capacities accessible to ensure an immediate and effective response on the ground.

According to the government’s announcement, the measure demonstrates its commitment to preventive action, full institutional mobilization and the clear assignment of responsibilities to protect citizens, the environment and national resources.
