An elderly man was rescued from a difficult situation this Saturday after Lezha police came to his aid in a mountainous area. According to the information, he had fallen while watching over livestock near the city’s castle and had suffered injuries.
The injured man received first aid at the Lezha Regional Hospital, and was then taken to the Trauma Hospital for more specialized treatment. Police have also released footage from the moment the 71-year-old was transported from the mountainous area.

“Lezha. Police services and the emergency medical team of the Lezha Regional Hospital came to the aid of an elderly man injured in a mountainous area.
After receiving notification that an elderly man had been injured in a mountainous area above Lezha Castle, Lezha Police services, in cooperation with the emergency medical team of the Lezha Regional Hospital, reacted immediately.
The citizen, who had been watching over livestock in the mountains, is suspected to have fallen and suffered injuries, making it impossible for him to move.
Upon arriving at the scene, Police services and the emergency medical team of the Lezha Regional Hospital made it possible to transport him to the Lezha Regional Hospital to receive first medical aid.
Later, due to his health condition and the need for more specialized treatment, the 71-year-old was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
