Haxhiu: The suspension of six police officers over the violence in Saraj is a step toward justice

VLEN MP Feride Haxhiu has commented on the decision to suspend six police officers suspected of involvement in the violence against two young men in Saraj.

According to her, the institutions handled the incident responsibly and within a very short time, in line with the commitment made by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Astrit Iseni.

Haxhiu said that the measure taken against the police officers represents an important step toward fully clarifying the case and identifying those responsible.

“As VLEN, we are clear: there is no tolerance for violence, no protection for anyone who breaks the law, and no compromise with justice!” she declared.

The MP stressed that protecting the safety and dignity of citizens must take precedence over every other interest, while the law, she said, must be applied equally to everyone.
