The acting president of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, said she expects the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo to reach an agreement soon.

Following last night’s meeting between Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti and LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku, Haxhiu stressed that an agreement between the two parties is essential for the country to continue making progress.
“I hope the agreement will be finalized as soon as possible, as it is very important for Kosovo to move forward,” Haxhiu said.
She said the country must fulfill a series of tasks and continue its reforms, including commitments related to the integration processes.
“We hope that next week will be decisive for this important process,” the acting president declared.
According to Haxhiu, reaching an agreement would help Kosovo continue its path toward membership in the European Union, the Council of Europe and NATO, as well as in other international mechanisms.
