Activist Halil Geci has reacted following the start of the demolition of illegally constructed buildings in the Ujman area, saying the operation by the authorities proves that the area is administered by the Republic of Kosovo.

In a Facebook post, Geci responded to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s statements regarding Ujman. He welcomed the intervention by Kosovo’s authorities to demolish 11 illegally constructed buildings, including villas that, according to the institutions, belong to officials from the Serb List.
Geci wrote that although Vučić has said Serbia will not give up Ujman and that the area belongs to Serbia, the actions of Kosovo’s institutions are showing that the laws of the Republic of Kosovo apply there, regardless of who owns the buildings.
He also claimed that Hashim Thaçi was giving Ujman to Vučić, while Albin Kurti is showing him who the area belongs to. In his response, Geci also mentioned the discontent of the opposition, Edi Rama and the “cake right-wingers,” adding that this anger would pass.
According to him, the demolition of 11 villas has begun in Ujman, including those attributed to Serb List Vice President Ivan Zaporozhac.
