In a social media post, Bardeli said diesel has reached 214 lek per liter and accused the government of further worsening the economic situation facing Albanian citizens.

According to her, during the summer, citizens must contend simultaneously with heavy traffic, high travel costs, the toll on the Road of the Nation, and increased fuel prices.

Bardeli emphasized that a liter of fuel now costs 214 lek, or 2,140 lek. She said the summer season has turned into a nightmare and an ordeal for residents of northern areas, as well as for emigrants and Kosovo Albanians who want to visit the coast on this side.

She added that, alongside the heavy traffic that recurs every year and the 2,500-lek toll fee, citizens must now also contend with yet another difficult situation.

According to the Democratic Party MP, diesel on the market has reached 2,140 lek, which she described as another act of extortion by the government. Bardeli called on the Board, which is funded by Albanian taxpayers, to intervene with emergency measures to mitigate the impact of this price, just as Europe is doing.

She stressed that Albanians can no longer afford this worsening economic reality, which is increasingly straining their household budgets every day.
