Shortly before the resumption of the constitutive session, the chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ardian Gjini, said that Vetëvendosje is targeting December 27 as the date for holding new elections.

According to Gjini, the issue of the deputy speakers of Parliament had not been a problem for VV, whether it concerned Vlora Çitaku, Kujtim Shala or representatives of the Serbian community.
“We told you, they are pursuing the date of December 27. Starting today, there are 60 days to elect the president, plus up to 45 days for elections. Now they have December 27, which they requested,” Gjini wrote.
The AAK leader accused Vetëvendosje of having aimed to reach today’s deadline.
“They had no problem with Vlora Çitaku, Kujtim Shala or the ‘Serbian people.’ The problem was reaching today’s date. The deadline,” Gjini declared.
Gjini added that, in his view, citizens had by now understood that Vetëvendosje was “deceptive and manipulative.” He stressed that the AAK was not afraid of elections.
“If you want, let’s go to elections! Do not be afraid of elections!” Gjini concluded.
