Alliance leader Ardian Gjini criticized the government over the situation in the energy sector and said the country is spending up to two million euros a day on electricity imports.
At a press conference, he said the value of imports so far has reached approximately 27 million euros. According to Gjini, domestic production is around 372 megawatts, while demand exceeds 800 megawatts.

Gjini described the situation as an energy crisis, saying that, after many years, Kosovo is once again facing large-scale imports and very high prices that citizens ultimately pay out of their own pockets.
He accused the government of mismanaging the sector and announced that AAK would request a parliamentary interpellation on the energy situation. Gjini said the Prosecutor’s Office and other institutions would also be called on to address the issue seriously.
