Luan Gacaferi, a member of the Guxo Movement, has commented on the latest political developments in Kosovo, accusing the opposition of blocking the institutions and creating the possibility that the country could face elections once again.

Referring to the period following the February 9, 2025 elections, Gacaferi said that the united opposition had pushed Kosovo toward the December 27 elections of the same year, expecting support for Albin Kurti to fall below 40 percent.
However, according to him, this calculation proved inaccurate, as Kurti managed to win more than 51 percent of the vote in the December elections.
“On December 27, 2025, the united opposition sent the country to elections through its blockade, after the February 9, 2025 elections, hoping to bring Albin below 40 percent! But they failed miserably because Albin won more than 51 percent in December 2025!” Gacaferi wrote.
He also criticized the Democratic League of Kosovo over its positions and actions following the June 7, 2026 elections.
Gacaferi claims that the LDK had hoped sending the country to elections would weaken Kurti’s result, while the party would secure more than 25 percent of the vote.
“On June 7, 2026, the LDK sent the country to elections again with its blockade, thinking that, with Vjosa Osmani, they would bring Albin below 40 percent and the LDK would capture more than 25 percent! But once again, the LDK failed miserably,” he declared.
According to him, the PDK’s current position could also lead to another electoral process in December.
He said that the PDK may be calculating that a change in the situation of former President Hashim Thaçi would affect the election result and reduce support for Kurti.
“Now, with its blockade, the PDK wants to send the country to elections again in December of this year, hoping that Hashim Thaçi will be released from prison in The Hague, and thus bring Albin below 40 percent! But the PDK will fail even more badly, with or without Hashim!” Gacaferi wrote.
In conclusion, he said that Kurti’s support could fall below 40 percent only because of Kurti himself, explaining his electoral strength by the weakness of the opposition.
“Only Albin—and nobody else who walks on two legs on this earth—can bring Albin below 40 percent! Perhaps not because Albin is very strong, but because the opposition is very weak,” Gacaferi concluded.
