The radiotherapy ward for patients with malignant diseases, located on the ground floor of the Oncology Clinic in Skopje, has been flooded.
The news, initially reported by several media outlets, was also confirmed by the clinic’s director, Igor Stojkovski.

According to him, all equipment was switched off immediately after the incident, preventing more serious consequences.
“The equipment was shut down in time,” Stojkovski said.
He also said that the clinic is in constant communication with the Radiation Safety Agency and that no patient is at risk from exposure.
The flooding was caused by bad weather that has hit the city of Skopje.
