He said the explosion was suspected to have occurred in the fuel station’s offices, adding that there had also been a gas leak. According to him, technical defects at the fuel station were also being investigated.
“The situation was brought under control within a few minutes. It was an explosion, not a fire. We suspect that the explosion occurred in the fuel station’s offices. The office was burned, while the front section was not affected by the flames but was damaged by the explosion. This leads us to believe that the explosion occurred in the offices.
The explosion was caused by gas. We will determine any technical defects and problems the station may have had. Representatives of the vehicle say that it may also have been the vehicle that struck the fuel station, as happened to us several years ago, but this remains to be seen. The police are reviewing the cameras,” Goxhaj said.
Meanwhile, the three fuel station employees who were injured in the explosion were taken to hospital and, according to the police, are out of danger.
